MangaFragments is a non-commercial fan project built around a simple idea: discovering and appreciating manga through its artwork.

Everything you see here comes from manga I’ve personally read and enjoyed. There’s no automated scraping or random collection of images. After finishing a manga, I go through it again and manually pick out the panels that caught my attention, whether because of the composition, artwork, emotion, humor, or simply because I thought they looked great.

So, in every sense, site reflects my personal taste.

If there’s a manga you think deserves to be here, feel free to recommend it. I’ll give it a read, and if I enjoy it, there’s a good chance it will eventually make its way onto the site.

What I read

You can find the full list of manga I’ve finished on this page. And by finished, I mean manga I’ve actually read through, not everything I’ve ever started and dropped.

The counter in the site footer shows how many titles have already been processed and added to MangaFragments. I usually manage to add about one new manga per week.

As you’ll probably notice from the list, I read a lot of romantic comedies, but I’m always open to other genres. Outside of manga, I’m a huge science fiction fan, although, for reasons I can’t quite explain, that love has never really extended to mecha.

Why remove the text?

One of the main ideas behind MangaFragments is to take manga panels out of context and let the artwork speak for itself.

I remove dialogue and other text whenever possible for a few reasons: it helps avoid spoilers, strips away much of the original narrative context, and reduces potential copyright concerns.

But there’s also a more interesting reason. I love seeing how much an artist can communicate without words, through expressions, body language, composition, framing, lighting, and all the small visual details that are easy to overlook when you’re focused on reading the story.

Sometimes a great manga panel doesn’t need dialogue at all.
