Description

In present-day Japan, Nasa Yuzaki falls for Tsukasa after she saves him from a traffic accident. She agrees to go out with him on one condition: they have to get married. When she reappears after he turns eighteen, they begin married life while barely knowing each other. The story spends much of its time on their shy affection, learning to live together, and friends who keep meddling in their romance.

The early chapters are warm and playful, with plenty of pop-culture jokes and attention to the couple’s growing trust. Clues about Tsukasa gradually lead into a larger mystery tied to Japanese folklore and history. Later passages deal with loneliness and loss, and some include bloody violence. The newlywed comedy remains important, but the emotional weight increases as her past comes into focus.

Pros

  • Starting with marriage gives the couple’s life together plenty of attention.
  • Nasa and Tsukasa’s affectionate, awkward chemistry carries the comedy.
  • Clues about Tsukasa add a mystery to follow alongside the romance.

Cons

  • Everyday comedy can leave the main mystery stalled for long stretches.
  • The later shift toward darker material may jar with the cozy beginning.
