Description
Takuya Seo keeps quiet about loving an anime aimed at young girls. At his high school in present-day Japan, he assumes he has nothing in common with popular classmates Kei Amane and Kotoko Ijichi. A borrowed eraser gives away his fandom, and Amane seems to know far more about the show than she will admit. The three become friends, with Ijichi eager to join their geeky conversations.
Short, connected episodes follow their outings, awkward flirting, and worries about being judged for what they enjoy. The girls’ friendship is as important as their growing interest in Takuya, with a love triangle taking shape early on. It is mostly a warm, light read, with embarrassment, occasional jealousy, and some suggestive teasing. Graphic violence is not a focus.
Pros
- The trio’s chemistry makes their friendships and romantic tension engaging.
- Shared hobbies bring the characters closer without making them the butt of every joke.
- Amane and Ijichi have contrasting personalities and a friendship of their own.
Cons
- Familiar school-romance tropes and repeated fandom jokes can feel formulaic.
- Very short installments can make the continuous story feel choppy.
