Description

Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura have been friends since childhood. Now in high school in present-day Japan, they still play a game where they say “I love you” and try to make each other blush. They both mean it by now, but neither wants to admit it and lose. Yukiya even borrows moves from Miku’s favorite shojo manga.

Both characters’ thoughts reveal how easily their confidence falls apart. Their flirting is mostly sweet and funny, with strong romantic tension and increasingly suggestive situations. Beneath the teasing are self-doubt and a fear of changing their familiar bond; later school conflicts bring some more serious drama. Graphic violence is not a focus.

Pros

  • The leads’ teasing works because their affection and mutual support are clear.
  • Detailed expressions and body language make the romantic tension convincing.
  • The game gives both characters a reason to confront their insecurities.

Cons

  • Repeated teasing followed by denial can wear thin.
  • The sports festival arc can feel drawn out.
